The inscription reads: "John Wesley, M.A. Fellow of Lincoln College Oxford" on the side with Wesley's portrait, and "Let your Conversation be as becometh the Gospel of CHRIST" on the reverse. The lid is decorated with angel faces framed by wings. -

A ceramic teapot decorated with a portrait of John Wesley. The inscription reads "The Rev. John Wesley, M.A. aged 83, 1785" [sic] on the side with the portrait, and "Let your Conversation be as becometh the Gospel of CHRIST" on the reverse. The lid is decorated with a floral pattern. Repairs have been made to both the handle and lid. -
