Fred Craddock Sermons
Fred B. Craddock (1928–2015) served as the Bandy Distinguished Professor of Preaching and New Testament at Candler School of Theology from 1979 to 1994. Widely regarded as one of the most influential homileticians of his generation, he shaped contemporary preaching through his sermons, teaching, and the publication of his seminal work, Preaching (1985). Craddock championed “inductive preaching,” a method that moved away from lecture-style sermons toward more participatory, narrative-driven approaches. Following his retirement from Candler, he devoted himself to humanitarian efforts, establishing The Craddock Center for Child and Family Enrichment.
