Lois Augusta Robinson to Elsie Lerch, January 21, 1960

Robinson, Lois Augusta

A letter from Lois to her mother, Elsie, wishing her a happy birthday, sending her well wishes to her sister's family who have caught a nasty flu, asking Elsie to take care not to catch the illness herself as she helps, sharing that the family is well and adjusting to living at the school, mentioning that Steed is doing much better health-wise since the move, describing how active and happy Steed and Esther are, discussing her twice weekly trips into Mayari to work at the clinic and do the shopping, mentioning that she and Juliet Milk are making the most of living nearer to each other, noting that Morrell is kept very busy between overseeing the construction of the social hall and his regular church duties, mentioning that the yearly evangelistic campaign will be beginning in February, reporting that the clinic is doing well and is manageably busy, commenting on the increasing anti-American sentiments being enabled by the new government, noting that the school in Preston may be closed as the government siezes more property, assuring her that their family hasn't felt the same level of anti-American pressure as the missionaries in Preston, sharing that she has completed or is working on several sewing projects, and giving an update on George.
